A bit of nerdiness

Sometimes all I can do is laugh.

Especially when I find this...

Sometimes I try.
I try to make her look put together, clean, and cute.

Sometimes it doesn't work because she has her own ideas.

To be honest, I kind of like it.
She never ceases to crack me up.

Of course, once the camera comes out, someone else wants their picture taken.

Say "Cheese!"

What a couple of characters!

This is what happens...

When you have young children, combined with older children, combined with a crazy schedule.

I put him on the couch just for a second to try and keep him happy while I finished something....can't remember what. He loves his brothers, so I figured it would at least help.

It was just a few minutes when I returned and found this.

I had a small twinge of "Oh. I'm a bad mother. He's really tired and should have had his nap by now."
But, then I realized how cute it was and took a picture instead.

My cell phone

It died.

Because of this...

Boo.

I'm not very happy.

If you are trying to reach me, you'll have to try my home phone.

A little something special just for you

Because me and the Mr. stayed up way too late last night for some reason.

And he found this.

(It is called a kazookeylele by the way.)

I have not seen him laugh that hard in a long time.

I on the other hand wasn't sure if it was okay to laugh. Is he serious? Is he trying to be funny? I don't know. I did chuckle. But, then I felt sorry for him. But then I chuckled again.

And then I laughed.

Wo there tiger.

{Might I add however, that he has had 3.5 million views. Are you kidding me?}

Okay. I just watched it again while putting it on  here.

I. Laughed. So. Hard.

I confirm -- it is definitely okay to laugh.

I'm not sure what is funnier:
a) when he starts playing the kazoo
b) when he starts singing
OR
c) when he says "Venus, venus, venus"

Oh mercy.

Father's Day is coming...

In honor of Father's Day, I 'm doing a few posts about "good" fathers over on InGood Co.

It all starts with my really great Dad.

If you have a Dad you want me to feature, just let me know.

I can tell summer is here

Know how?

My bathtub has a really disgusting ring around it every time.
(This is not my tub. I spared you the grossness.)

My kids seem to get so dirty in the summer.
Is it just me? Are my kids exceptionally filthy or does this happen to anyone else?

I hate bending over the tub, reaching across to scrub. I don't know why. I just do. Maybe it's because of my short arms or my short torso.

I've decided that to avoid this and hence the unsightly ring, the sprinkler is going to become my new best friend.

So, if you see my children running through the sprinklers at 7:00 at night with a bar of soap, don't think of me as a bad mom. Just think of me as a mom that wants clean kids more than she wants to clean the ring out of the tub.

For your viewing pleasure, I thought I'd leave you with some cool tubs to get the image of my unsightly tub with the ring in it, out of your head.

I don't know about this one....

or this one....

They are cool and beautiful but the beauty factor would go down once I was sitting in there.
Ew. No people. No.

Think this one is cute?
It is.
It is a pet tub.

Oh. Calgon take me away.
(Egg salad sandwiches anyone?) :)

Pretty.
Comfortable? I'm not sure.

Swoon. So gorgeous!

My favorite.
So, so beautiful.
Travertine tub? Really? Oh mercy.
Lovey love love.

Good luck with your own bathtubs.
May you and your tub survive the summer.

He loves a good hat

He has moved onto hats lately. He loves 'em!

It might be from watching the older brothers play ball.

It might be because he knows he looks so cute.
Play ball! This is him showing me this is what you do once the hat is on -- swing the bat and make the "schew" sound.

The other day I found him and he had gotten into the fridge, stacked up a few jars of ice cream toppings and taken the glass taco sauce bottle (the kind with the skinny neck), and was knocking down the pile of jars with  the taco sauce bat. It was making a rather large sound and danger/mess was imminent. His baseball days were put to a quick end -- for the moment.

One of the things I've been up to...

And I do mean UP to...

UP to my neck in laundry!!!!
{I'm sorry for the offensive picture. No pretty photoshopped pictures here people.}

Why? Oh why?

I was talking to my friend Amber the other day, who just had a brand new baby, and runs a dance studio and just finished her final concert. She was saying she had a ton of laundry to do too.

This should have made me feel better. I explained to her that my dryer looks like it has exploded b/c the pile in front of it is so massive. (At least they're clean right? That counts for something.) I do not have a new baby.
I do not run a dance studio or have any "job" that takes my time away from home. I did not just finish my final concert/massive project that I am in charge of.

I do not know how or why I have so much laundry. I think I might actually be washing clean clothes, but by the time I discover them in the dirty clothes bin, they are then dirty from touching legitimate dirty laundry.
This is not acceptable people!

Something must be done.

At the moment, that something is laundry.

{You know you've hit a whole new phase of blogging when you start purposely putting on pictures of your mess. Oh mercy.}
