More Free Vintage Clip Art
I stumbled onto another great resource for free clip art at The Graphics Fairy
She has so many great things, but of course, I could only choose a few.
She specializes in vintage clip art.

Love this page out of an old children's book.
She has most of the alphabet available. I think this could be so sweet in a child's room.

I love typography. This alphabet is a keeper.
She has also cleaned some of the images up from the originals and has reformatted them.

You know how much I love silhouettes. (Oh. You didn't? Well I do.)
This print of the children virtues is great! Love it!

Some old Valentine's Day Cards.
Some of these could be great to print up for this year's cards.
Or to frame and use as holiday decor.
(There are also some other great holiday items. A vintage Santa that I love!)

She also has instructions for projects using some of her clip art.
I am in love with this "BOO" garland!
I cannot wait for Halloween next year.
{She has a lot of fantastic typography available.}

Another project -- she made knobs out of one of her images.
She gives you all of the instructions and lets you download the already formatted pdf.
Make you sure you go check her out here.
Spend some time perusing.
So much fun stuff.....
so little time.

Anybody thirsty?
WARNING: Some may find this....offensive. Or, at least really gross.
A few days ago I kept hearing Liam licking off his fingers and saying.....MMM! MMM!
I finally paid enough attention to him to see him walk back into the bathroom, dip his hand into the toilet and then start licking and saying "MMMM!"
I darted as fast as I could in his direction to stop the offense only to see that someone-who-shall-not-be-named had not flushed the toilet.
(It wasn't me! Stop assuming the worst!)
Rest assured however that it was only #1 -- I'm sorry to be so crude.
AAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH!!!!!!
I gagged several times as I quickly tried to wash his hands and his mouth all the while trying to say "No, no" and "yucky" in between dry heaves.
You see apparently Liam thought we had one of these --

a toilet with a drinking fountain.
I'm not sure this is even a good idea in my house.
Pro to having this kind of thing --on the one hand, the above incident may be avoided.
On the other hand, ....well,....I don't want any of my family members or anyone in my household drinking out of any part of the toilet.
So, for now, sorry little guy. Your boring sippy cup will have to do.

P.S. I have to fess up -- I found this picture of the toilet online and it is supposed to be a wash basin, but I thought it was oh so fitting for this story. Plus, it looks like a drinking fountain to me.

Dear friends...
To all of my bloggy blog friends, I'm sorry I'm just now getting around to reading all of your great news, interesting events, and sweet thoughts. Please don't take it personally. Life sometimes is...well, you all know.
I'm sorry I haven't put anything new on here to read, but I assure you....its coming. (Sometime.)
P.S. I did happen to catch part of Masterpiece Theatre's new Emma last night.
Mercy. How I love a good Jane Austen. Just sayin'.

He turned 9!!!!
Anders turned 9!!!!
I can hardly believe it!
Where has all of the time gone? When did I get so old?
Okay. Enough about me....back to the birthday boy.
{I think he didn't really want me to take his picture, but I had to. It's what any good blogger would do.}
Dad brought him balloons!
He requested Texas Sheet Cake!
DEEEEELICIOUS! {Yes. I did just sing that in my opera voice.}
That boy loves him some Legos!
Apparently he also loves this book!
His big birthday surprise -- Snaptricity.
{If you have a child that is curious and loves all things science -- this is a lot of fun. It is a kit that comes with different projects that you put together to create electrical circuits. Sometimes you'll make the propeller spin, or the light turn on....or....I don't remember the rest. Anyway, it is very cool. This is the small set. It comes in two more sets -- one of which is really big and very cool!}
A boy and his Dad.
The proud parents!
We love you buddy! You are such a great kid and we are so lucky to have you in our family!
Happy 9th Birthday!!!!!

Isabella the Artiste!!!
Several of you lately, have posted about your own little artists.
I have laughed.
I have felt sorry for you.
Then, I have laughed some more.
I laugh because I too.....understand and am being punished for laughing.
I went in one night to find Isabella in my bed, fast asleep, looking like this.
The marker was still soaking into the sheets.
Luckily, it was a Crayola washable marker.
Luckily, it was a Crayola washable marker.
When she got up in the morning and I was helping her get dressed,
I saw this......
I saw this......
And this.

Below you will greet the same face I greeted when I asked her about it.
I discussed why we do not color on anything except the papers mommy gives you.
I discussed the reasons we do not draw on our bodies.
I discussed that she is not to get into the markers again without asking.
I got this...

Not too terribly sad about it.
Her artistry has compounded as of late.
These last few days have found her coloring on my rocking chair, the hubster's book, various pieces of somewhat important papers, and the inside of my van.
Not to worry. She is at this moment sound asleep in her bed.
Without a marker.
