Temple Square

We decided to get out on Friday, so we took the kids to Temple Square.

Isabella loved seeing the temple where we were married and where "Mommy dressed like a princess and Daddy was the prince in prince clothes." (Don't anybody tell her otherwise -- if she wants to think her mom is a princess, well by all means I 'm going to let her!)
{I don't know why she's making that face....it makes me laugh.}

It was nice weather to get out and about and the kids loved wandering around Temple Square and the Visitor's Center. We looked at all of the great pictures of Christ and went to the bottom floor and watched "The Restoration" film. We were the only ones in the theatre, so the kids thought it was pretty fun to watch a movie all by ourselves.
It always amazes me that a "place" can be so full of the spirit. I love how it feels to be there.
We forget about all of the great things that are up in Salt Lake and want to get up there more often. The kids are already asking to go back.
We then ended the evening with a trip to Ikea to shop for a few things and have Swedish Meatballs for dinner. YUM! It was a simple outing, but the time together as a family was so fantastic!!!

What a great outing! I need to do stuff like that more often. We tend to only head up there when we have out of town guests. And who doesn't love a day that ends with Swedish meatballs!

btw I LOVE the pictures!

Paul and I keep saying that one day we are going to ride trax down to the children's museum. You know, "The Discovery Gateway." Maybe we can coordinate and all go together. That would be a fun outing downtown too! We like to end our outings there up at Litza's Pizza. So good!

Those are such sweet pictures! I think Aidan has that same shirt as Max and sweatshirt as Anders. Wow, Liam is getting so big and cute. All your kids are so cute! What a beautiful family. I love the picture with the temple the best. It almost looks surreal.

What a great night! I always forget that we have these places right at our fingertips and take them for granted. Looks like a fun night and you went to Ikea too? Can I come on the next Family Fun Night?
