Oh,...Isabella

I was helping to get her dressed the other day and this is how the following conversation turned out:

Isabella, you look so cute today. Your friends are going to think you're so cute.

No. They never say that.

They never say you're cute?

No...

They say "You're dangerous."

laughing....What? They say "You're dangerous?"

pause

laughing half-heartedly (a bit fake) No. I'm just kidding. They don't say that.

Are we in trouble??

For FHE we were talking about baptism since our oldest is getting baptized soon. We were doing the little object lesson where the food coloring represents sin and the bleach is baptism and repentance. My daughter wanted a complete understanding so she asked, while pointing at the food coloring....

What is that?

I told her they were sins.
Her reply...

"I LIKE sins!!"

Oh no.

Someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed!

So {I} was a little bit grumpy this morning. I don't think she got quite enough sleep. She was upset, angry, crying, and sad all at once. I was helping her get dressed and she said through all of her dramatic tears,

"Mom, I don't like you."
I responded "You don't like me? Why don't you like me?"
Her reply,.....


"Because you're poop."

hee hee hee

Normally when my kids use bathroom words as an insult I address the issue -- today,

I just laughed.
